1960s Omann Jun Model 13 Danish Teak Highboard

An Omann Jun Model 13 Danish teak highboard, dating to circa 1960. Its elevated cabinet form and broad proportions give this piece a substantial architectural presence.

At 49.75 inches high, this is a highboard rather than a low credenza. The 71.75-inch width provides a generous storage span, while an 18-inch depth keeps the cabinet relatively shallow.

Warm teak and a disciplined rectilinear form create a focal point for a dining room or living area. The enclosed storage offers a place for tableware or household collections, with an upper surface suited to a restrained display.

A maker's mark is noted on the back. Offered as one Model 13 highboard.

Condition

Vintage condition with scuffs, rubs, nicks, finish loss and soiling underneath.

Style Notes

The strong proportions and warm wood embody the appeal of Danish Modern case furniture. Give the highboard room to stand as an anchor piece, balanced by lighter seating, textured textiles and simple artwork.

Dimensions

71.75 × 18 × 49.75 inches (W × D × H).
