1960s Skovby Danish Rosewood Dining Chairs - Set of 4

A set of four Danish rosewood dining chairs by Skovby, dating to the 1960s. The combination of wooden frames and upholstered seats and backs gives the set a warm, composed appearance.

The rosewood supplies a rich natural pattern, while the upholstery creates a softer visual contrast. The relatively low 31-inch backs allow the chairs to sit comfortably around a table without dominating the room.

Each chair measures 19 inches wide and 19.5 inches deep, with an 18.5-inch seat height. The matching group offers a cohesive setting for a smaller dining room or breakfast area.

Maker's marks are noted underneath. All four chairs are offered together as one set.

Condition

Vintage condition with scuffs, fading and minor nicks consistent with age and use.

Style Notes

These chairs bring the clarity and warmth associated with Danish Modern design. Pair them with a rosewood or teak table for a period setting, or introduce them alongside a simple contemporary table.
