1970s Bruno Mathsson for Dux Jetson 66 Lounge Chair - Lot 54

A Jetson 66 lounge chair designed by Bruno Mathsson for DUX, dating to the 1970s. Its suspended seating form and exposed metal structure give the chair a distinctive, airy silhouette.

The construction combines chrome-plated steel with black mesh and leather seat and headrest cushions. The contrast between the open frame and the upholstered elements is central to its visual character.

At 38 inches high with a 16.5-inch seat height, the chair has a relaxed lounge proportion. It makes a sculptural individual seat for a living room, reading corner or bedroom.

The base is marked DUX. Offered as one chair.

Condition

Vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use.

Style Notes

The Jetson's curved profile and visible structure introduce a more expressive side of Scandinavian modernism. Pair it with a simple side table and directional lighting, allowing room around the frame to emphasize its open form.
