1970s Skovby Danish Rosewood Dining Chairs - Set of 6

A set of six Danish rosewood dining chairs by Skovby, dating to the 1970s. Their matching wooden frames create a consistent rhythm around a dining table.

The rosewood brings warmth and natural grain to the group, while the upholstered seats provide a softer contrast. The 36.75-inch overall height gives the chairs a taller presence than a low-backed dining design.

Each chair measures 19.5 inches wide and deep, with an 18.5-inch seat height. The set provides a complete six-place seating arrangement for a dining room or a generous kitchen dining area.

Maker's marks are present on some chairs. All six are offered together as one set.

Condition

Vintage condition with scuffs, rubbing to the legs and light soiling to the seats.

Style Notes

These chairs complement rosewood, teak and other warm wood tables. Their taller backs give definition to the dining area, while neutral textiles and simple lighting keep the overall setting balanced.
