Chrome and Glass “Jax” Coffee Table, Attributed to Milo Baughman

An unsigned vintage coffee table with an intersecting tubular chrome base beneath a circular glass top. The polished cylinders form a sculptural composition that remains visible through the glass, giving the table a substantial center with a light visual footprint.

Attributed to Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin. Unsigned. Late twentieth century.

The round glass top measures 42 inches in diameter. One complete table is offered, comprising its glass top and chrome base. Reflections, surface wear and the actual condition of the chrome and glass remain visible in the photographs.

Condition

Very good vintage condition with light age-appropriate wear consistent with use. Chrome retains an attractive luster and presents beautifully. Glass top remains in very good condition with minor wear commensurate with age. Structurally sound and ready for immediate use.

Style Notes

The open base and clear top suit a seating group where a visually heavy wooden table would interrupt the room. Reflective chrome can connect other metal details without introducing a new wood finish.

Dimensions

42-inch diameter × 15 H inches. One complete coffee table.
