A pair of rosewood and black leather lounge chairs, cataloged by Weschler’s as Hans Olson. Shaped wooden arms and exposed frames trace the perimeter of each chair, while loose leather cushions give the seating a relaxed, well-used character.

The contrast between the warm wood and dark upholstery is especially clear in profile. Open space beneath the seats keeps the pair from feeling visually heavy, and the finished backs allow them to be considered from more than one direction.

Condition

The original photographs show pronounced leather creasing, rubbing and surface abrasion, particularly along the front seat edges, as well as marks and wear to the wooden arms and legs.
